Good day on this partly cloudy Wednesday.
The East Lansing Film Festival and the City of East Lansing are teaming up to host a fundraiser for the city’s new ceramics studio. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with a pottery sale and a “Paint a Pot” activity for children. The evening also includes the screening of a Brazilian film, “The Second Mother,” at 7 p.m. The studio space being built on the second floor of the Hannah Community Center will include six throwing wheels, a kiln and a space to work on ceramic projects. The city and interested parties are hoping to raise $20,000 to complete the studio. 4:30 p.m. FREE, donations accepted.
