City Pulse is the alternative news source for Lansing, MI. Founded in 2001 by Berl Schwartz, City Pulse has won a number of awards for its coverage. City Pulse publishes a free weekly newspaper as well as its website.
Is City Pulse Nonprofit?
No, City Pulse is owned and operated by Berl Schwartz. That said, Berl is a lifetime journalist who started City Pulse to provide the community a free source of information on local news, arts and events. Money given to City Pulse goes to support its journalism.
