Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and Women Speak Out on Friday announced that their field team had surpassed its goal for home visits, stopping by 400,000 homes in Michigan to talk about abortion in the 2024 election.

The anti-abortion groups said their field team is focused in Lansing, Detroit and Grand Rapids, and are focused on opposing President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Holly), who is running for U.S. Senate in 2024.

“Fueled by the enthusiasm of many highly motivated pro-life young people, our canvassers are hard at work educating voters on the true contrast in this election. When Michiganders understand how extreme and out of touch the Democrats are, they are appalled and we see votes change right before our eyes,” Brooke Baker, Michigan state director for SBA Pro-Life America, said in a statement.

Protecting abortion rights has been a central component of the Biden-Harris campaign, which has pledged to help restore the protections of Roe v. Wade and expand access to reproductive health care, while opposing efforts to ban abortion nationwide.

Slotkin has also supported abortion rights, speaking out against threats to in vitro fertilization and emergency abortion care as well as access to abortion medication and contraception, and opposing bans on abortion across the nation.

“There is nothing that motivates me more than this issue of choice,” Slotkin said in a video posted to social media.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and its affiliates have planned to raise and spend $92 million to support their goals across the country. It has also planned to reach 10 million voters across eight battleground states — Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Montana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Ohio — with a focus on reaching low-turnout and persuadable voters to defeat Biden and elect an anti-abortion majority in Congress.
