TUESDAY, April 28 — Trustees at Lansing Community College plan to have their seventh president hired by July after recently narrowing their search to four final candidates.

LCC announced yesterday the field of candidates has been narrowed to four to replace President Brent Knight, who announced his retirement plans last summer. They’ll be interviewed and participate in open forums, with hopes of a selection by June 30.

“We are pleased with the high-quality candidates, all of whom are equipped to lead LCC into the future,” said Trustee Robert Proctor, chairman of the presidential search committee. “Each of the finalists is poised to address our opportunities and challenges.”

The four finalists are:

  • Northern Vermont University President Elaine Collins
  • Muskegon Community College President Dale K. Nesbary
  • Owens Community College President Steve Robinson
  • LCC Executive Vice President Lisa Webb Sharpe

Additional details about the selection process are expected to be released on LCC’s website.
