Autumn is a time for colorful foliage, crisp temperatures and, of course, pumpkin pie spice. On this trip around the sun, my pie spice comes in the form of a fall-flavored whoopie pie.

SaltRock Brewing Co. breathes new life into historic Bailey Buildings

Lansing’s new SaltRock Brewing Co. can accommodate 80 guests between its two dining areas and outdoor patio.
“We switch the drink menu out a lot because we’re brewing it all on-site. Just like any other place, when we run out, we’ll bring in something new,” Brown said. The brewery is also working on acquiring its liquor license so it can begin offering house-made spirits.

Concern over CBD conversion oil dominates public CRA meeting

Brian Hanna, executive director of the state Cannabis Regulatory Agency, addressed findings of CBD conversion oil and banned pesticides in dispensary vape cartridges and edibles at the agency’s quarterly public meeting last week. He said the agency has proposed rules “prohibiting the conversion of a cannabinoid into a different cannabinoid using a chemical reaction.”
